Toles's Favorite Toles Global Warming Editorial Cartoon

Return to article

Asked if he has a personal favorite among all his global warming editorial cartoons, Toles points to one published in the Post on January 2, 2004.

"I'm not saying it's the best one. I think it got most of one aspect of it right that I hadn't seen in any other format. It was Uncle Sam talking about global warming. It wasn't timed, but it was multiple panels, and the impression was that it was over a period of time. It was a series of fallback positions, and it's how I felt the issue was running publicly. I was just proud that I could succinctly get that across, because I felt it was an important way of looking at what was happening and digest it cleverly but accurately. That's probably my favorite."
