August 15 photo deadline nears for photos to be used for September climate change tour.
The Marian Koshland Science Museum in Washington, D.C., a part of the National Academy of Sciences, is seeking submissions of community photographs illustrating various approaches to climate change mitigation or adaptation.
Individuals are encouraged to submit suitable photos by the 2 p.m. EDT Wednesday, August 15, deadline.
The photos are to be used as part of a climate change tour challenge scheduled to get under way in September. Details are available at the Koshland Science Museum website, and an example of a suitable entry is online here.
The Koshland Science Museum describes its mission as engaging the public in current scientific issues that impact their lives. Its long–running “Earth Lab: Degrees of Change” exhibit, for instance, invites the viewer to delve into causes and impacts of climate change and potential solutions.
