The National Environmental Education Foundation has posted online a series of 15 questions and answers designed to address what the group thinks are top questions on the minds of broadcast meteorologists when it comes to the issue of climate change.

Drawn from a May survey of meteorologists and from discussions at a June 2008 American Meteorological Society broadcast meteorology conference, the nonprofit group developed “answers to the most common questions“. The site also offers access to a downloadable pdf version, with links to web resources.

The questions were researched and answered by Robert Henson, of the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR), author of The Rough Guide to Climate Change (Penguin, 2006). The Editor of The Yale Forum on Climate Change & the Media worked with Henson in researching and drafting the responses, which were subsequently reviewed by climate science experts at UCAR.
